Port Qasim

KARACHI, Dec 13: Three ships carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy dipped to 40 per cent at the wharves where four ships, ACX Tsubaki, Bernice, Bunga Melati Satu and Al-Debaran, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 69,256 tons comprising 62,244 tons of import cargo and 7,012 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only one container vessel, ACX Tsubaki, left the port.
