PML(N) activists Perform ‘rain duty’

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, Dec 11: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers on Tuesday remained busy in draining out rain and sewerage water from Murray College’s ground where party patron Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to address a public meeting on Wednesday (today).

Nawaz Sharif started electioneering after his party opted to contest the Jan 8 polls on Sunday. However, his campaign is marred by bad weather.

It continued raining throughout the day. The ground has turned into a pond of mud and filthy water. If conditions remain unchanged, it will be difficult for the PML-N local leadership to hold a public meeting.

No alternative venue, however, had been announced till the filing of this report.
