JACOBABAD, Dec 11: Four armed men snatched a 25-year-old woman after killing her father in Hussain Jakhrani village in the limits of Mouladad police station late on Monday night. The villagers later nabbed two of the kidnappers after an exchange of fire.

When the kidnappers were fleeing with the girl Noor Khatoon after killing his father Jhangi Khan, 48, the villagers opened fire on them and succeeded in catching hold of two identified as Saeed Ali and Imam Bux Jat.

The villagers handed them over to Mouladad police who reached the village and moved the body to Jacobabad Civil Hospital for autopsy.

Jhangi’s son, Saleem, told journalists that his cousins Imam Bux and Sultan abducted his sister after his father refused to sell Noor Khatoon after killing him.

Jhangi’s father, Jhando Khan Jat, has lodged an FIR against Imam Bux, Azad, Sultan and Saeed.

CHILD KIDNAPPED: A minor girl Gurya, 5, daughter of a poor labourer, was kidnapped near her house on the Quaid-i-Azam road here on Tuesday.
