HYDERABAD: PML-N wants polling stations declared sensitive

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Dec 11: PML-N candidate for NA-220 Hyderabad city and former MNA Sahebzada Shabbir Hassan Ansari has demanded of the government to declare all the polling stations of his constituency as sensitive.

In a statement faxed to Dawn here on Tuesday, he demanded that special security arrangements should be made at the polling stations of his constituency because massive rigging by polling staff had been witnessed during the past election.

He said it was a duty of the Election Commission to make foolproof arrangements for holding free and fair elections.

EID ADVANCE: Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui has approved payment of half basic pay salary for the month as Eid advance to all the Muslim employees of the university whether regular or contractual on account of Eidul Azha to be paid on December 15.

The VC has also approved payment of advance salary equivalent to half basic pay/half fixed pay to all the Christian regular and contract employees on account of Christmas.
