KARACHI: Restoration of rights urged


KARACHI, Dec 11: Workers at a demonstration held in connection with the International Human Rights Day urged the government to do away with all restrictions on freedom of expression, judiciary and human rights, besides lifting emergency immediately.

The demonstration was organised by the PC Hotel Workers Solidarity Committee outside the Karachi Press Club (KPC).

President of the Sindh High Court Bar Association Rasheed A. Razvi, KPC chief Sabihuddin Ghausi and labour leaders Liaquat Sahi, Jaffer Khan, Lateef Mughal, Manzoor Badayuni, Shafiq Ghauri, Mirza Maqsood, Khaista Khan, Musa Khan, Asif Hayat, Haji Ghazanfar, Nazar Shah, Comrade Saleem and others spoke.—Staff Reporter
