Wrestlers to compete in India

LAHORE, Dec 10: The Wrestling Federation of India will organise a six-match series against Pakistan from Dec 15 to Jan 26.

According to the schedule finalised between the wrestling bodies of the two neighbouring countries, some matches will be of five-day duration besides three to one day.

The Pakistan Wrestling Federation, has decided to send 11 wrestlers and two officials to India.

Wrestlers: Muhammad Shoaib, Mohammad Shahid Sultan Khan, Muhammad Usman, Zahid Shahzad, Muhammad Salman, Naeem Sohail, Arfan Siddique, Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Hamid Ali Khan, Saeed Ahmed and Muhammad Taj.

Mohammad Umar as coach and Ihtsham-ul-Haq as manager will accompany the team. The team will leave on Dec 16.

Schedule:

1st match: Dec 15-19. Amritsar (Punjab).

2nd match: Dec 20-25 Pune (Maharashtra).

3rd match: Dec 28-31 Jalandhar (Punjab).

4th match Jan 5-6 Hoshiarpur (Punjab).

5th match Jan 19-20,2008 Lucknow (UP)

6th match Jan 26-27 2008 Ranchi (Jharkhand)
