MIRPURKHAS, Dec 10: Three workers of two passenger coach service were killed in an exchange of fire near the Post Office here on Monday. Reports said one of the two had launched new coach service when people from rival group reached the point to stop it. Both groups first exchanged hot words and subsequently resorted to firing for 15 minutes which claimed lives of two men of one and third of another group. Attackers fled from the scene.

The deceased were identified Faiz Mohammad Pathan 35, Mohammad Rafique 35 and Rais alias Guddu 38.

Panic gripped the city soon after. Police were deployed at coach stands and at the residence of deceased persons. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital for autopsy.

People from both sides reached the hospital upon which Civil Surgeon Dr Roshan Ali Bhatti called police contingents to control law and order situation inside the premises.

Police closed hospital’s main gate and opened it after handing over the bodies to relatives.

Ather Khan lodged a murder case with the Town Police against accused Yaqoob alias Billa Makrani, Faisal, Majeed Pathan, Faiz Mohammad and Mohammad Rafique.

No arrest was reported till the filing of report.
