KARACHI, Dec 10: The Sindh government conferred a lifetime achievement award on noted poet, writer and columnist Jameeluddin Aali at a literary reference held here on Monday evening.
Caretaker Chief Minister Abdul Qadir Halepota gave away the award “Nishan-i-Sipas” to Aali and announced a Rs1 million reward for him.
The gathering was attended, among others, by Sindh Ombudsman Yusuf Jamal, Prof Saher Ansari and Dr Farman Fatehpuri.
Speakers on the occasion paid tribute to Aali’s literary services over a period of 60 years.
