KARACHI: Contractor shot dead

KARACHI, Dec 10: A construction contractor was shot dead in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Monday. Sharea Faisal police said Mohammed Asif, 40, left his house in Block-12 on his motorcycle around 9am. Two armed men on a motorcycle intercepted him near his house and shot him dead. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Hospital sources said the victim was shot a single bullet on his face from a very close range as it pierced through his skull.

Later, police registered a case against unknown assailants on his younger brother’s complaint.

The deceased left a widow and three children.
