CHITRAL, Dec 6: A charity organisation has distributed relief items among people affected by an avalanche in April.

The avalanche had claimed 30 lives and destroyed about 100 houses in the Washich village.

The ceremony was attended by the executive officer of the Focus Humanitarian Assistance (FHA), Pakistan, Ghulam Panjwani and district programme manager Amir Mohammad.

The relief packages included wheat flour, rice, processed vegetable oil, tea, sugar, pulses, powdered milk, firewood and blankets. Relief items were also distributed in the avalanche-hit villages of Sonoghur and Lotkoh.
