Wajid overpowers Klaus to reach quarter-finals


ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: Pakistan’s Wajid Ali has defeated Raffeiner Klaus of Italy to reach the men’s singles quarter-finals in the Indian Challenge badminton tournament in Guwahati, India.

According to reports available here on Wednesday, Wajid won the match with scores of 13-21, 21-18, 21-17.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s pair of female players comprising Sara Khan and Uzma Butt reached the semi-finals of the women’s doubles by overcoming Pooja Shrestha and Thape Nari of Nepal with scores of 21-18, 13-21, 21-5.—APP
