KARACHI: Action against negligent officials ordered

KARACHI, Dec 5: Provincial Caretaker Minister for Health Fauzia Lari has ordered legal action against a number of officials and employees who were found absent when she paid a surprise visit to the department.
According to a handout issued on Wednesday, the minister along with Special Secretary Health Dr Abdul Majid took round of the department located on the sixth floor of the Sindh Secretariat at around 10am. She was surprised to find that at least 10 officials, including three deputy secretaries, had not arrived by that time although they were supposed to be there by 9am, a source said.
The minister taking serious notice issued directives for action against the negligent officials.
