LAHORE, Dec 4: Almost 300 people attended a protest on Tuesday afternoon at the Lahore Press Club, organised by the Campaign for Democracy and Rule of Law in Pakistan in conjunction with the Student Action Committee, the Joint Action Committee and the Women’s Action Forum.

The protesters waved banners denouncing emergency and urging the restoration of the democracy. They made a round of the press club before moving part way down Davis Road and then finally returning.

The police maintained a heavy presence with two mobile detention vans present, although no arrests occurred. — Staff Reporter
