PESHAWAR, Dec 4: A court on Tuesday granted pre-arrest interim bail to former provincial minister and Awami National Party candidate for PF-3 constituency Bashir Bilour and three others in a firing case which had resulted in the killing of a woman.

The court of additional district and sessions judge Mohammad Zaib Khan fixed Dec 14 for the next hearing of the case and directed the prosecution to produce the relevant record.

A woman was killed and three people were injured when the workers of ANP and Pakistan People’s Party clashed on Dec 2. The wife of Mohammad Riaz was caught in the crossfire. She died on the spot while three workers of the PPP were injured.

A panel of lawyers, including Barrister Zahoorul Haq, Asadullah Chamkani and Ishtiaq Ibrahim, appeared for the applicants.
