KARACHI, Dec 4: A man, driver by profession, was killed on Tuesday after he sustained serious head injuries during a fight with two of his colleagues in Machko.

According to area police, Khalid Mir,32, a driver of Abdullah Coach, was having lunch at the coach stand when a quarrel sparked over some old dispute between him and his colleagues identified as Usman and Abdul Rahim. After a brief exchange of hot words, Mir was overpowered by his two colleagues and one of them hit his head with a brick. Both the culprits fled leaving Mir injured and unconscious.

Later, the injured driver was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died after a few hours reportedly due to excessive bleeding. An FIR (198/2007) has been registered against the two accused at the Machko police station and a hunt for them is on. A police official said that like the deceased driver, both Usman and Abdul Rahim belonged to the NWFP.
