KARACHI, Dec 4: Nine ships carrying general cargo, DAP fertiliser and to load cement, molasses and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Harmony, China Star, Mol Ability to unload and load containers, Ikan Altamira to offload phosphate and Myrina to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships which were departed included Swat, Sea Spirit, Agia Thalassani, J. Friend, Conti Germany and Tenth Ocean, while Harmony, Mol Ability, China Star, Emerald Coral, Nordwoge, Alexanditsa, Banglar Mookh and Myrina are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.162 tons comprising 29,316 tons of export cargo and 0.132m tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Jo Sycamore to load 8,000 tons of ethanol, Chem Bothnia to load molasses, St. Irene, Auusta, Hyundai Stride with containers, Orhan Eknici, with 33,000 tons of DAP fertiliser, Al-Hussani to load 3,000 tons of cement, Change Le Men and Heng Shan with general cargo.
