Shelling kills four people


MIRAMSHAH, Dec 1: Two women and two children were killed while 15 others injured after security forces pounded residential compounds in two villages in North Waziristan Agency on Saturday.

Hospital sources said that the condition of four of the injured was critical. They said that militants had attacked the Banda check post near Miramshah with rockets. There were no casualties.

Troops started shelling militants’ positions from their headquarters in Miramshah, hitting several houses in the town’s vicinity and Angher village. —Correspondent
