Younis backs struggling Malik


KOLKATA, Dec 1: Pakistan vice-captain Younis Khan has lashed out at the country’s former cricketers for criticising Shoaib Malik’s leadership.

“I am really upset at the criticism of some of our former players. Malik is a young captain and he will only learn from his mistakes,” Younis, the stand-in skipper in the Kolkata Test following Malik’s injury, said.

“This has always been a tradition in Pakistan and India … former players always tend to run down someone who is in trouble or facing a crisis.”—Agencies
