Truck drivers vulnerable to HIV/Aids

TAXILA, Dec 1: The global Aids day was observed here on Saturday to create awareness about the deadly disease among the masses, specially high-risk groups. In connection with the day, a walk was held under the auspicious of Humrahi Markaz, Health Promotion Society (HPS) and the National Aids Control Programme.

A large number of people including notables, members of the local government, political workers, students, truckers and others participated in the walk.

The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with awareness slogans. The walk started from Taxila main chowk and concluded at the Humrahi Markaz, a help centre for truckers on the G.T. Road.—Correspondent
