LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 1: Nomination papers of several candidates were accepted except one here on Saturday. Returning Officer for NA-27 Asad Hamid Khan Bangash rejected the nomination papers of Hidayatullah Khan, a contractor by profession, on the grounds that he could not produce the proposer and the seconder.

Mr Hidayatullah wanted to contest elections for a National Assembly seat.

The other candidates whose nomination papers were accepted for the National and provincial assembly were Anwar Kamal Khan Marwat of the PML (N), ex-MPA Zafrullah Khan, Munawar Khan, Samiullah Khan Ahmadkhel, Naseer Mohammad Khan Maidadkhel, Maulana Shaikh Amanullah Khan of the JUI (F) and Bashir Ahmad.

Meanwhile, members of the Saifullah family launched their election campaign in the district.
