NAWABSHAH: Doctors selected without completing house job

By our Correspondent

NAWABSHAH, Dec 1: The Sindh United Party has asked the provincial government to intervene in selection of doctors which is in contravention of law and policy matters. Party’s District President in a letter to Sindh’s Chief Secretary Mansoor Qadir Keerio said number of doctors of 2007- batch had been chosen through a selection test carried out by the NTS despite of not completing House job – a criteria mandatory by the Public Service Commission.

He said some selected doctors were completing House job and at the same time receiving stipend from the Nawabshah Medical College Hospital and Liaquat Medical College. They will be paid monthly salaries on placement as medical officers, he added.

There were reports that the selected doctors had gotten fake certificates in respect of fulfilling House job criteria from concerned authorities.
