Aisam’s double win in India


LAHORE, Nov 30: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq defeated Adrian Cruciat of Romania in a semi-final of the ONGC ATP Challenger at the RK Khanna Tennis Stadium in Delhi on Friday.

According to information received here, the scores were 6-1, 6-4. Aisam will now face Korea’s Jae Sung AN in the final of the $50,000 tournament.

Aisam achieved another success when pairing with India’s Rohan Bopanna qualified for the doubles final.

They overcame Monaco’s Benjamin Balleret and France’s Sebastien de Chaunac 7-6(10), 7-6(4) is the semi-final.

Their opponents in the final will be Rik de Voest and Wesley Moodie.

Earlier, Aisam sent top seed Ivo Minar of Czech Republic packing at 6-2, 6-3 in 53 minutes.—APP
