PPP, PML candidates trade allegations

DADU, Nov 30: The Pakistan People’s Party candidates have alleged that former federal minister and the Pakistan Muslim League candidate from NA-232 and PS-73, Liaquat Ali Jatoi is using his influence to get his favourite police officers posted in the district.

Speaking at a press conference, Rafique Ahmed Jamali PPP candidate for NA-232, Dr Talat Mahessar for NA-233 and others party candidates alleged Liaquat Ali Jatoi of harassing the PPP candidates through police and Wapda officials.

They appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner to take notice and ensure transfer of all police officers as well as the DPO Dadu.

They said on the directives of Liaquat Ali Jatoi police raided the houses of PPP workers and one of them was challaned in narcotics case. They said police were pressurising the PPP workers to change loyalty.

Meanwhile, PML candidate for NA-232 and PS-73 Liaquat Ali Jatoi submitted an application in the office of district returning officer, accusing the PPP candidate RafiqueAhmed Jamali of issuing death threats.
