HYDERABAD: Amin Fahim’s nomination accepted

HYDERABAD, Nov 30: Returning officer Munawar Sultana Bhatti here on Friday accepted nomination forms of Pakistan People’s Party’s senior vice-chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim for a National Assembly seat, NA-218 Matiari, and two Sindh Assembly seats, PS-42 and 43 Matiari.

The returning officer also accepted the forms of Mr Fahim’s son Makhdoom Jamiluzzaman for NA-218 and PS-43 and Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman’s form for PS-44.

None of the candidates appeared before the returning officer and they were represented by president of Hyderabad chapter of the High Court Bar Association Abdul Sattar Kazi and general secretary Allah Bachayo Soomro.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad chapter of the PPP celebrated 40th founding day of the party at a ceremony at Bhurgari house on Friday. A 40-pound cake was cut on the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by the PPP’s Hyderabad district president Zahid Ali Bhurgari, Pervez Ansari, Maula Bux Chandio, Ameer Ali Shah Jamote, Aftab Khanzada and others.

Speaking on the occasion, the party leaders said that the PPP was struggling for people’s rule and added that PPP workers did not bow down before the rulers despite torture and other pressure tactics which proved that they were loyal and committed to the PPP.
