KARACHI, Nov 30: Four ships carrying containers, edible oil and furnace oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, five more ships to load and offload containers, cement and edible oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained on the higher side at the wharves where seven ships, Al-Isha’a, Maersk Novazzano, Hana, TCP Wellington, Word Dyansty, Al-Debaran and Minoan Hope, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, coal.

A cargo volume of 100,000 tons comprising 77,000 tons of import and 23,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.
