ISLAMABAD, Nov 29: Profiling industrial progress, social changes and celebrating art and inventions, the All About Lifestyles Exhibition 2007 will open at the Convention Centre here on Saturday.
Returning to Islamabad for the sixth time, the two-day expo has been organised by the Dawn Group of Newspapers.
Over 120 exhibitors are participating in the event, displaying a wide range of products.
Creatively designed interactive pavilions will provide entertainment and healthy engagements. Activities at the Young World pavilion this year will revolve around the theme “Carnivale”, where various competitions and events, such as mural and pottery painting, will be conducted. A magic show is another major attraction.
For the first time, a Books and Authors pavilion, in collaboration with the Oxford University Press, is being set up where visitors will have the chance to interact with personalities like Iftikhar Arif and Air Marshal (retired) Asghar Khan.
Sci-Tech pavilion will offer a planetarium show and documentaries and movies with scientific relevance will also be shown. Aero modelling, network gaming and the Young Inventors Corner are some other attractions.
At the Gallery pavilion, the display section will have photographs in four main categories of portrait, creative, black and white and travelogue. Students of the National College of Arts will also paint a mural for the visitors.
The German Shepherd Dog Show will be conducted on the first day of the exhibition on Saturday. An All Breed Championship Dog Show has been arranged in collaboration with the Kennel Club of Pakistan on the second day of the expo.
Classic car owners will have the opportunity to show their prized vintage automobiles at the Retro Wheels Show that will run on both days of the expo.— Staff Reporter
