Published November 30, 2007

KARACHI, Nov 29: The city government has imposed a ban on the movement of all types of upcountry heavy vehicles, including trucks, loaders, dumpers and oil tankers, for seven days on the following roads:

Ibne Seena Road, S.M. Taufeeq Road, Shahrah-i-Pakistan, Nawab Siddiq Ali Khan Road, Shahrah-i-Sher Shah Suri, Shah Walilullah Road and Road-5000.

An order issued here on Thursday said that since the Northern Bypass had been opened for all types of upcountry vehicles, it was necessary to take immediate measures to prevent their movement on these roads.—APP
