Journalist escapes captivity

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Nov 28: A journalist kidnapped from Khuzdar town on Oct 4 escaped from his captors and reached here on Tuesday morning. Riaz Mengal told newsmen at the press club that he had been tortured during his captivity in Nushki mountains.

He said he managed to escape on Monday night, boarded a coach and reached the Quetta-Nushki road.

He accused a union council nazim of being behind his kidnapping, apparently because of his report about police impounding two stolen cars which were later returned at the intervention of some influential people.
