Tariq Bugti may be elected unopposed

QUETTA, Nov 27: Mir Tariq Hussain Masori Bugti is expected to be elected unopposed to the Balochistan Assembly from PB-24 (Sui-Dera Bugti) as all three covering candidates will be withdrawing their nomination papers.

Ahmed Jan Kalpar, Faiz Mohammad Bugti and Faqir Mohammad Masori Bugti have said in writing that they will withdraw their nomination papers.

It was the home constituency of late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti who was elected twice in 1988 and 1990 while his son Saleem Bugti was also elected twice from the same constituency.

In the last election, nephew of late Nawab Bugti, Haji Juma Khan Bugti, was elected.
