HYDERABAD, Nov 27: The Town Planning Department of Hyderabad on Tuesday declared three private residential housing schemes in Matli taluka of Badin district as illegal because they had been launched without taking approval from the department.

In a press statement, the department’s director Tahir Ahmed said that the sponsors of Abdul Rasool Chang Colony, Haji Hanif Rajput Colony and Misri Shah Colony had been directed to stop their business.

He said that notices had been issued to the sponsors of above-mentioned housing schemes asking them to close their booking offices and stop advertising the schemes. He advised people not to book any plot in the housing schemes.

UPLIFT SCHEMES: Tando Muhammad Khan District Nazim Mir Inayat Ali Talpur said tens of millions of rupees have been spent on development schemes of the district and expressed hope the Mir group will win the general elections.

Talking to reporters at his secretariat on Tuesday, he said it was for the first time in the history of Pakistan that the elected assemblies had completed their tenure of five years and added credit goes to President Musharraf.
