TOBA TEK SINGH, Nov 26: Lawyers observed a complete strike on the 21st consecutive day on Monday in protest against the imposition of emergency and promulgation of the Provisional Constitution Order.

The district bar association also held a meeting which was chaired by bar president Javed Aslam.

The meeting expressed grave concern over the deteriorating health condition of former Supreme Court Bar Association president Munir A Malik. It blamed the government responsible for his serious condition.

Lawyers also observed strike in Kamalia and Gojra. Meanwhile, journalists also continued their protest for imposing ban on news channels and curbs on the media.

They wore black armbands and held a meeting in the district press club wherein speakers demanded immediate restoration of the banned TV channels.
