Hoti criticises ANP ‘ticket’ decision

By Our Correspondent

MARDAN, Nov 25: Azam Khan Hoti has warned that the Awami National Party’s (ANP) decision not to award tickets to Begum Nasim Wali Khan and her son Sangeen Wali Khan is a mistake which can seriously harm the party.

Addressing party workers here, Azam Khan Hoti, who is brother-in-law of Khan Abdul Wali Khan, said the party should have given the same respect to Begum Wali and Sangeen Wali that was accorded to them by the masses.

Sangeen Wali had applied for a party ticket for PF-18 while Begum Nasim Wali Khan had applied for a special seat for women.

Meanwhile, a member of the centrtal council of ANP, Naveed Khan, complained that party tickets had not been given on merit in Mardan.

Criticising the candidates nominated by the party, he said that most of the tickets were given to people who had sold their seats in the recent past to their rivals. He said that the party could not afford to take such decisions.
