KARACHI: Building declared dangerous

KARACHI, Nov 25: The Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has declared Friend Square, a residential project in Model Colony, dangerous, and directed relevant officials to evacuate its residents.

A KBCA Committee for Dangerous Buildings inspected the building thoroughly and said in its report that this building may collapse anytime, causing loss of life and prosperity.

Meanwhile, on the directives of Chief Control of Buildings Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, different KBCA demolition squads razed illegal constructions in different towns of the city and sealed them off.

One squad demolished an illegal roof of a building and partition walls at ground floor plot No.170, old No.26/2, Behar Muslim Colony, besides razing third floor of an illegal structure at plot No.72 (9/6) in the same area.

In Shah Faisal Town, a KBCA team demolished illegal ground floor roof and partition walls at plot No.B-9, Iswan Town.—PPI
