English horse honoured

LAHORE, Nov 24: Life has a strange recourse of delivering the unexpected and expected a twist, few could realise at the Racecourses.

Not very long ago the Lahore Race Club (LRC) adorned its stewards room with some photographs including that of legendry English thoroughbred Dancing Brave, who emblazoned the international racing circuit by his feats in 1985-86.

Perhaps no one expected that an identical incident that happened to Dancing Brave in the English Derby at Epsom, will occur at the Lahore Racecourse in the Pakistan Derby, two decades later.—Aftab Gilani
