Crackdown on PML-N
LAHORE, Nov 24: Punjab police launched a late night crackdown on PML (N) activists to thwart their plan to welcome their leaders Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif on their arrival at the airport here on Sunday.
Sources said that police were detaining low-rank PML (N) leadership and active workers. However, none among the top leadership or ex-MPs was picked up. Police said the crackdown on PML (N) activists were being launched in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore.
