Fazl for Unanimous decision on elections

LAHORE, Nov 24: JUI chief and MMA secretary-general Maulana Fazlur Rahman says his party will try its best to bring a unanimous decision (on contesting elections or not) before the nation.

Addressing JUI’s Punjab office-bearers by telephone on Saturday, he said the poll boycott by any single party would be pointless.

He advised JUI candidates to file their nomination papers in time, along with those of their covering candidates, says a JUI press release.

The Maulana said the country was passing through a sensitive phase, and there was no formula with the present rulers to steer the country out of the present crisis, adding that it was the responsibility of all political and religious parties to play their role in this regard.—APP
