KARACHI, Nov 24: Over 30 nomination papers for the upcoming Jan 8 general elections were on Saturday submitted at the City Courts for national and provincial assembly seats in Karachi.

Accompanied by their supporters, a number of leaders belonging to different political parties went to the City Courts and filed nomination papers on the fourth day of the process of receiving and filing nominations papers.

Amongst those who filed nomination papers with the returning officers at the City Courts were: Capt Haleem Siddiqi of the PML-Q (NA 239 and 250), Mirza Ikthiar Baig of the PPP (NA 250), Syed Akhlaq Abidi of the MQM (NA 250), Saleem Zia of the PML-N (PS 113), Imtiaz Sheikh of the PML-Q (PS 90), Rauf Siddiqi of the MQM (PS 114) Najmi Alam of the PPP (PS 112), Shahbaz Akthar of the PPP (PS 113), Syed Sardar Ahmed of the MQM (PS 93 and 116), Zulfikar Quaimkhani of the PPP (PS 113), Mohammed Asif of the PML-N (PS 89), Mohammed Hussain of the MQM (PS 123), Arshad Khan Jadoon of the PML-N (PS 120), Taimur Ali of the PPP (PS 112), Salahuddin Ahmed of the MQM (NA 225), Ali Akbar of the PML-N (PS 119) and Mohammed Faisal Idrees of the MQM (PS 89).
