HYDERABAD: Hesco asked to cut line losses

HYDERABAD, Nov 24: Hesco chief has directed the officials of the company to decrease the line losses and ensure 100 per cent recovery of the bills as per the targets given by Pepco.

Mr Chaudhry Guftar Anjum said this while presiding over a meeting of the operation managers and directors of the company here on Friday.

He said bills should be issued to consumers on correct readings of their meters and the officials must introduce a consumer friendly culture. He directed that a report should be submitted on daily basis about the latest recovery position.

He warned that strict action will be taken against those officials, who failed to meet Pepco targets.

Mr Anjum pointed out that working could not be improved without introducing a system of punishment and reward. He said Pepco’s instructions should also be implemented with regard to giving new power connections to the consumers.—Bureau
