KARACHI, Nov 24: The administrator of the Fishermen Cooperative Society, Faqir Mohammad Jadam Mangrio, has resigned from his office, amid serious charges of embezzlement of funds and irregularities, reliable sources confirmed.

He tendered his resignation officially on Nov 22 when a former FCS chairman and some senior directors had accused him and his administration of committing various financial irregularities and called for his immediate removal.

Meanwhile, senior FCS directors Haji Shafi Mohammad Jamote and Haji Mohammad Yunis welcomed the resignation and urged the provincial government to constitute a committee comprising representatives of fishermen to run the affairs of the society till the holding of fresh elections.
