Saleh, Yousuf bow out of World Snooker

KARACHI, Nov 23: Thailand’s Atthasit Mahitthi stopped Pakistan’s Saleh Mohammad from proceeding further by defeating him 5-0 in the pre-quarter-final of the IBSF World snooker championship in Korat, Thailand, on Thursday evening.

Saleh completely failed to match the skills, tactics and smart potting displayed by Mahitthi and went down smoothly with scores of 15-94, 11-57, 61-62, 7-61, 46-56.

In the Masters’ competition, Pradit Chuchart of Thailand dethroned defending champion Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf 72-13, 60-28, 22-68, 71-10, 47-64, 19-62, 73-20 to earn a place in quarter-finals.—Agencies
