RAWALPINDI, Nov 23: The government has put security agencies and the FIA on high alert in the wake of reports that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had decided to return home, sources told Dawn on Friday.
“All agencies have been asked to follow the immigration law on his arrival at airports.”
The FIA’s immigration officials had been told to immediately get in touch with their high-ups if Nawaz Sharif landed at any airport, the sources added.
An immigration official said “to follow the law” meant that when a Pakistani arrived at an FIA counter, his passport should be given an entry stamp.
