Islamabad gets Muhafiz squad
RAWALPINDI, Nov 23: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police have launched a Muhafiz Squad to check street crime, especially the sharp rise in vehicle lifting, a spokesman for the capital police said here on Friday.
He said the Muhafiz Squad, which comprised 27 motorcycle riders, was part of the community policing project and was being launched from Rescue 15 centre. Citizens have been asked to inform the police on Rescue 15 phone numbers: 9261412 and 9261428, in case of any complaint.—Staff Reporter
