KARACHI, Nov 23: Over 130 nomination papers were collected and 12 were filed at the City Courts here on Friday for elections to the seats of the national and provincial assemblies in Karachi.
Six nomination papers were collected from additional civil judge and assistant district and sessions judge, Central, Qazi Mohammad Naeem Siddiqui for NA-245, PS-101 and 103. Five nomination papers were collected from additional district and sessions judge, South, Mohammad Azeem for NA-249, PS-110 and 111. Around 15 nomination papers were collected from addition district and sessions judge, South, Sultan Mohammad Awan for NA-250, PS-112 and 113. Seven nomination papers were collected from first district and sessions judge, South, Khalid Teepu Rana for NA-248, PS-108 and 109. Two nomination papers were collected from senior civil judge, East, Abdul Karim Ansari for NA-255, PS-122 and 123.
Five nomination papers were collected from additional district and sessions judge, West, Jahangir Daio for NA-242, PS-95, 96 and 97. Four nomination papers were collected from senior civil judge, East, Abdul Latif for PS-105. Eight nomination papers were collected from senior civil judge, East, Abdul Quddus Memon for NA-256, PS-199, 120 and 121.
About 19 nomination papers were collected from additional district and sessions judge, West, Hafeeza Osman for NA-241, PS-122 and 123. About 21nomination papers were collected from senior civil judge, West, Tahira Mohsin for NA-239, PS-89 and 90.
Two nomination papers were obtained from additional district and sessions judge, South, Ghulam Shah for NA-251, PS-114 and 115. Ten nomination papers were collected from senior civil judge, West, Abdul Qadeer Memon for NA-244, PS-100 and 101. Fourteen nomination papers were obtained from additional district and sessions judge, Abdul Rahman Bhatti for NA-252, PS-116 and 117, while 15 nomination papers were collected from additional district and sessions judge, West, Obaidullah Khan for NA-240, PS-91 and 92.
Saleem Zia of the PML-N (NA-250 and PS-113), Bostan Ali Hoti of PML-Q (PS-110 and 111) and Mama Younus of the PPP (PS-110 and 111) were among those who collected nominations papers on Friday.
Iqbal Qadri (PS-96), Ashfaq Ahmed Mangi (PS-90) and Moin Khan (PS-104) of the MQM were among those who submitted the nomination papers.
