NAWABSHAH: Officials transferred despite ban

NAWABSHAH, Nov 23: Despite ban on postings and transfers, a number of police officials has been transferred and posted in and out of Nawabshah district immediately after the announcement of the election schedule.Nawabshah DPO Dr Ghulam Sarwar Jamali has been transferred and posted as SSP SRP Karachi on Nov 20, from where he was posted as DPO Umerkot on Nov 22, but he has not assumed the charge yet.

Whereas DPO Umerkot, Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi has been posted as DPO Nawabshah.

Similarly, Rahib Khan Tunio has been posted as new supervising police officer (SPO) Doulatpur, from where Nusrat Shaikh has been transferred to police lines.

Rakhial Khan Jamali has been posted as DSP headquarters whereas Pyaro Khan Jamali has assumed the charge of SPO Daur.Ghulam Murtaza Rahu has been posted as new SHO A-Section police station from where Ghulam Nabi Kharal has been transferred to police lines whereas Ishtiaque Arain has been posted as SHO taluka police station from where Amjad Buller has been transferred to police lines.

The orders of SPOs and SHOs were issued on Nov 20, but implemented on Nov 22.

PML candidates: Pakistan Muslim League has nominated its candidates for national and provincial assemblies’ seats of Nawabshah district.

Former education minister and district president PML, Khan Mohammad Dahiri, told reporters that Syed Kazim Hussain Shah would contest from NA-213 (Nawabshah-Daur) whereas he himself would contest from NA-214 (Sakrand-Doulatpur).

He said the PML would not field any candidate on PS-24 (Nawabshah) and would support MQM, while Ali Nawaz Brohi would contest from PS-25, Mumtaz Jamali from PS-26, Abdul Hafeez Unnar from PS-27 and former MPA Bahadur Khan Dahiri from PS-28.
