KARACHI: Homage paid to Mahmud Ali

KARACHI, Nov 23: Homage was paid to a veteran Pakistan Movement leader Mahmud Ali on his first death anniversary on Friday.

Nazrul Academy, in collaboration with the Sindh Chapter of the Tehrik Takmeel-i-Pakistan, held a memorial meeting on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, former attorney general Aziz A. Munshi, said played an active role in the Pakistan Movement and worked devotedly for the country. He deserves all respect, love and honour from the nation.

Historian Prof Ali Muhammad Shaheen, Mahmudul Aziz, Khwaja Salman, Zubair Rehman, Zulfikar Haider Siddiqui, Amjad Hussain, Haider Ali Haider and Mohammad Hussain were the others who paid tribute to Mahmud Ali.—APP
