IMRAN CRITICISED: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam General-Secretary Senator Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro said that their party had no connection with the All Parties Democratic Movement after the APDM leadership ignored their demand to oust Mr Imran Khan from the alliance.

In a press statement issued here on Thursday Dr Soomro claimed that it was the JUI that had offered sacrifices, but Mr Imran Khan kept on criticising the party and its leadership.

He claimed that from the day one Mr Imran targeting the JUI and its leadership but the APDM had done nothing to resolve the issue.

He also urged the JUI and MMA workers to obtain nomination papers for elections.

Dr Khalid alleged that both Gen Musharraf and US president Bush were trying to keep ulema out of the parliament but vowed that a good number of religious scholars would make into the assemblies in the coming elections.

He said the Majlis-i-Shoora of the JUI is meeting in Sukkur on Nov 27, to discuss the future election strategy.
