KARACHI, Nov 22: Three ships scheduled to load/offload containers, coal and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, five more ships carrying containers, chemicals and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 70pc at the wharves where seven ships, Nedllyd Oceania, Agata, Leopard-B, Antonis, Force Ranger, Bunga Melati-5 and Al- Salam-II, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, rapeseeds, coal, edible oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 85,683 tons comprising 68,294 tons of import and 17,389 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Nedllyd Oceania, Agata, Bunga Melati-5 and Al-Salam-II left the port.
