Saleh, Imran win in Thailand

KARACHI, Nov 21: Pakistan’s Saleh Mohammad in his last league match thrashed Australia’s James Mifsud 4-1, while compatriot Imran Shahzad defeated Russia’s Sorokin Vyacheslav 4-2 in the World Snooker Championship matches in Korat, Thailand, on Wednesday.

Albeit Saleh lost the first frame, he won the next four to qualify for the knockout stages. The scores were 15-76, 56-50, 94-6, 68-34, 63-12. In the other match, Imran Shahzad overcame Vyacheslav 71-26, 72-1, 52-60, 26-62, 79-12, 63-3.—PPI
