LAHORE, Nov 21: Students of the Punjab University physics department on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration in front of the vice-chancellor’s office against the registration of a case against teachers.
They demanded that the university administration should pressurise the government for the withdrawal of the FIR. They were holding placards and chanting slogans against the government.
Physics department chairman Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran is among 14 teachers, against whom the FIR had been registered.
PU registrar Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan assured the students that the university administration had already written a letter in this regard to the Punjab governor and continue persuading him for the withdrawal of the FIR. — Staff Reporter
