KHAIRPUR, Nov 21: To mark the international Children Day, a seminar on “Basic Rights of Children” was organised by Child Rights Committee (CRC) Khairpur in collaboration with other NGOs at a local hotel on Tuesday.

The speakers at the seminar said that violation of children’s rights is common but most of the children are subjected to torture in rural areas. They said that the main reason behind this was lack of education and irresponsible attitude of the government.

Amjad Ali Lashari said that due to ongoing tribal clashes, children are using weapons as they see dacoits resultantly become dacoits themselves.—BoC
